new album...

Hey there,
I just wanted to let you know I have released a new album through Amduscias Records. It’s called Recycled Sound. I hope you all will enjoy it. The common flavor throughout this album is ambient. This work fuses the elements of multiple genres together in a variety of combinations. You will hear layers of ambient, spoken word, and avant-garde combined in various ways. I like to fuse elements of various genres together to make new conceptual sounds that you may find thought provoking, not unlike scoring you might hear accompanying a movie or other visual presentations. The theme of this album is historical speeches and sound bites set to musical patterns which are interpretations of the mood evoked from the various speeches. As usual, I have provided front and back cover art in case you wish to burn a cd so you can have the complete album as it was intended. Thank you for your continued support.

new album available for download...

Hey there,
I just wanted to let you know that a new album has just been released through Amduscias Records. It’s called Sentiments. I hope you all will enjoy it. The common flavors throughout this album are ambient and downtempo, however I have provided you with a couple surprises. This work fuses many elements together in a variety of combinations. You will hear layers of ambient, downtempo, trance, house, idm, and acid combined in various ways. In other words, I fuse elements of various genres together to make new conceptual sounds that you may find thought provoking, not unlike scoring you might hear accompanying a movie or other visual presentation. Also, you will notice this album has another theme- emotions associated with memorable moments in life. They are rather ordinary concepts that most people can relate to, and I hope you can relate to them, too, and feel the sentiment expressed in the music. I hope you have as much fun enjoying these soundscapes as I had creating them. As usual, I have provided front and back cover art in case you wish to burn a cd so you can have the complete album as it was intended. Thank you for your continued support.

announcement...

i have decided to join a site run by a friend.
http://www.lowercasesounds.com/
he, i, and other djs will broadcast live mixes and the site will host mixes we have recorded and make them available for free download. additionally, the radio station will broadcast the hosted mixes when nobody is live.

i see this as a step in the right direction. i have concerns about the riaa, but i have been told in writing that it is not an issue. i wish there had been a more defined separation between me an the last station i played for, but i figure that it doesnt get much clearer than what ive experienced.

now that i am with lowercase sounds, i already have two mixes posted. it is my intension to see how many i can get up there. the web masted said in writing that he would like to put up as much as possible. i am all for that, 100%. i have also been told, in writing, that there is a plan to start collecting a (small, ie $10) monthly fee from the djs so that expenses (bandwidth, hosting, etc) can be covered as well as establishing a collection for pressing vinyl. i am so eager to see my name on vinyl!

i like that this site actually has plans to go somewhere instead of just tooling around. i dont really feel like the last few stations i have played for have been completely behind the idea and/or practice of supporting and promoting their djs. i still see myself performing self-promotion for lowercase sounds as well as amduscias records, but it is not a problem because i am backed by established names. they help make a name for me and i help make a name for them. in that way, we all represent each other. i feel positive about it and envision prospects in the near future from these endeavors. as far as im concerned, i have nothing to regret at this time from these choices.

i will have a broadcast schedule to post soon...
